Spain speaks more than Spanish
Castilian is one of four languages with official status in Spain. Catalan, Galician and Basque are co-official in their regions, used in schools, local government and the media, and something like two in five Spaniards live somewhere bilingual. They are not dialects: Galician is close to Portuguese, Catalan is its own Romance language, and Basque is related to nothing else on earth. Asking a Catalan or Basque speaker whether they speak "Spanish" at home is a question with history in it. Speaking Castilian is enough everywhere, and noticing this is appreciated.
