Exterior or interior
A Spanish apartment listing will say exterior or interior, and it matters more than the room count. Exterior means the windows face the street; interior means they face a patio de luces, an internal light well that can be little more than a shaft — quieter, darker, and cheaper. Ask before viewing. The other figure to check is the gastos de comunidad, the monthly charge for the building's shared costs, which is often quoted separately from the rent and can add a meaningful amount to it. Unfurnished in Spain usually does include kitchen fittings.
