お世話になりました
The phrase for leaving is お世話になりました — you have taken care of me — said to colleagues, neighbors, a landlord, a teacher, anyone whose orbit you are leaving. It is past tense, which is the point: it closes the account. The reply is often こちらこそ, it is I who should say it. Workplaces mark the departure with a 送別会, a send-off dinner, and the person leaving is expected to say a few words and frequently to bring something.
