Hannah, have you got five minutes, because I've had three replies to my email about Thursday and I can't tell whether any of them are good news? The first one, from Graham in testing, just says I hear what you say, and then nothing else. In Toronto that would mean he agrees with me, but something tells me it doesn't mean that here.

Something is telling you the right thing, so listen to it. I hear what you say means I've heard you, I don't agree, and I'm not going to argue about it in writing. It isn't rude, exactly, but it's a warning sign, and Graham is someone you'll want to talk to before Thursday rather than after.
I hear what you say significa «te he oído, no estoy de acuerdo y no voy a discutirlo por escrito».
