This is the hawker centre I promised you, and you'll notice there are hardly any empty seats, because it's half past twelve and the whole neighbourhood is here. There are more than a hundred stalls, so take a few minutes to walk round before you choose, because there's a great deal of good food and very little of it is bad. I'll chope a table with my tissues while you two decide.

A hundred stalls and hardly any of them have menus in more than one language, which is either a test or an adventure. How do people decide, when there's this much choice and so little time in a lunch break? In Toronto I'd just go to the food court in the basement and eat whatever had the shortest line.
