1. な-adjectives
The second adjective family. Before です they behave like a noun — 静かです, 有名です — but before a noun they take な: 静かな店, 有名な店. い-adjectives from Lesson 5 never do this.
2. …ませんか — shall we?
Negative in form, inviting in meaning — much like English 'won't you join us?'. 見ませんか is a genuine invitation, softer and more considerate than a flat 見ましょう.
3. …ましょう — let's
Once the invitation is accepted, ましょう settles it: 食べましょう, 会いましょう. ませんか asks; ましょう proposes to people already willing.
4. …が — but
At the end of a clause, が joins two statements that pull against each other: 忙しいですが、暇です. It is softer than でも and stays inside the sentence, where でも starts a new one.

The invitation is a negative question
見ませんか — won't you see it? — is the ordinary way to invite someone, and the negative form is what makes it polite: it leaves room to decline without anyone losing face. Refusals work the same way in reverse. A Japanese no is rarely the word for no. It is ちょっと…, a little…, trailing off, or 難しいですね, that's difficult. Both mean no, and pressing for a clearer answer puts the other person in an awkward spot rather than getting you a different answer.
