Linh, this is Li Ming, who leads the team you're joining, and who, not so long ago, was sitting exactly where you're sitting now. Li Ming, Linh arrived from Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday, and she's starting with us today as an analyst, straight after this morning's orientation. I've told her that you'll be her buddy for the first month, which I hope you don't mind, since I didn't actually ask you.

It's very nice to meet you, and I'm sorry if my English is a bit slow today, because I'm still jet-lagged and everyone here talks so quickly. In the meeting this morning someone said they would circle back on something, and I nodded, but I still don't know what it means. Is it rude to ask, or should I just pretend that I understood?
